InFestation set to infect the film festival scene

Sydney, Australia, April 10, 2007 – InFestation Film Festival Management has launched today to fill the void between filmmakers and film festivals.

Linda Kearns, formerly Festivals & Markets Manager at Arclight Films, has branched out on her own to create InFestation, a film festival management company specialising in film festival strategy and coordination for independent filmmakers.

InFestation offers a unique and specialised service by streamlining the often daunting world of film festivals into a single point of contact.

Kearns has coordinated festivals for over 75 films in the past seven years, including NOISE (which played recently at Sundance 2007) and MACBETH (Toronto 2006), and has liaised with every major film festival around the world.

Linda Kearns, InFestation MD stated today, "The festival circuit is an increasingly confusing arena and InFestation seeks to demystify that as a one-stop point of contact for festival strategy. It seems that a new film festival springs up almost every day and at first glance many festivals may seem alike, but a film's Premiere status is a valuable commodity. It is important to know which festivals to prioritise and why. We are truly independent and will provide an unbiased plan of attack."

"What we are hoping to achieve is exposure and opportunities for exciting and innovative filmmakers both in Australia and around the globe through the vast but chartable film festival circuit."
